People with more complex support requirements need service providers with the specific capabilities required to deliver appropriate supports.
The NSW Government runs three centres for people with more complex needs: the Casuarina Grove, Mountview and Summer Hill centres. Due to the unique characteristics of services delivered at these centres, the transfer process for each is being managed separately.
Forums were held with residents and families at the Casuarina Grove, Mountview and Summer Hill centres in May and June 2017 to determine the criteria that should be considered when selecting a suitable service provider. The government is continuing to engage with clients, families and guardians to work towards selecting appropriate service providers for these three centres.
The final phase of the transfer of services also includes the Integrated Services Program (ISP) and the Community Justice Program (CJP).
