People with more complex support requirements need service providers with the specific capabilities required to deliver appropriate supports.
Due to the unique characteristics of services delivered at these centres, the transfer process for each is being managed separately.
The NSW Government has announced that Achieve Australia will operate the Summer Hill centre including its respite services with the transfer taking place on 1 November 2018.
The Mountview centre including the Temporary Care Unit (respite) transferred to The Disability Trust on 28 June 2018.
The government is continuing to engage with clients, families and guardians to work towards selecting an appropriate service provider for Casuarina Grove.
The final phase of the transfer of services also includes the Integrated Services Program (ISP) and the Community Justice Program (CJP).
